- There should be at least three blank pages in the passport before the visa is issued.
- When applying for a visa at the Indian Embassy / High Commission, payment must be made in cash or money order (checks usually are not accepted) and a stamped envelope addressed should be included. One month should be allowed to be removed.

There are no restrictions on the import of foreign currency by tourists, provided a declaration form at the entrance.
